Using the same engine as the World War Two Timeline Project the American Civil War Timeline Project is building a data set for the American conflict. Similarly, using the same iPhone app engine, I have created an iPhone application to render the data.

Patrick O'Brian Quotes for the iPhone

Using the data I have created at the Patrick O'Brian Mapping Project, I have created an iPhone app to show random quotes from the novels I have indexed. Each quote is accompanied by a map.

In Their Honour

A project I developed in conjunction with Jacqui Kennedy for the Mashup Australia competition. In Their Honour is a site designed to honour the sacrifices of Australians who have served during wartime.

An iPhone App that I built for The Motorcycle Network to provide mobile access to their Australia wide database of motorcycle and scooter parking spots.

WW2 Daily for the iPhone

My World War Two Timeline Project is building a set of chronological/geographical data points for World War Two that is, at the point of writing, unique. I have leveraged this data set to create a iPhone application that displays daily cards on the iPhone.

Glossary iPhone Apps

My first foray into iPhone development. My aim, to create a fast, cross referenced index of glossary terms. Ultimately I created three applications (each with limmited functionality lite versions) on the app store, Ballet Index, KarateIndex and Tap Index. The are data driven applications based on a shared code based (with minor target bound code changes).

Historical Timeline Projects

Inspired by an old fold out World World Two Timeline book, I decided to have a look on the Internet for similar information. I didn't really find what I was looking for, but I did discover an amazing programming tool which marries a scrolling dynamic Timeline with a Google map. The addition of geographic information to my original concept of a Timeline sealed my fate. Mapping historical events in time and space has become my new obsession.

US Presidential Polling Screensaver

There is constant coverage of the national polling percentages in the US Presidential general election, but not so much the polling data for the 50 states. There are many excellent web sites around that deliver this information, so I thought a Screensaver that consumed polling data and rendered the results onscreen might be useful.

Scone NSW Train Timetable

Expanded mining activity in the Scone region has resulted in increased freight train traffic through the town. The single rail line splits the town along the North-South axis and does not have any bridges or underpasses. This combination of circumstances results in long delays for residents stuck on one side of the tracks. I have located the ARTC rail timetable, extracted the Scone information and exposed it in a more palatable format, in the hope that residents can use the page to avoid these traffic jams.

HeroClix Line of Fire Tool

I have always struggled to visualise line of fire during HeroClix games (my brain being geometricaly challenged). Since the line of fire rules are completely deterministic (straight line from center to center passes through squares in the line of fire), I thought my own shortcomings could be perfectly augmented by a computer program to calculate line of fire.

The Patrick O'Brian Mapping Project

Given the lack of maps and information on the Jack Aubrey and Steven Maturin voyages described in the Patrick O'Brian series, I decided to implement a Google Maps driven page that features as many of the waypoints I could gather from a minute examination of the books.

AA Renderer

Download a screensaver and a map viewer for the TripleA Open Source "Axis and Allies" clone game. The standard map viewer doesn't provide the ability to zoom out the map. I wrote this viewer and screensaver so I could zoom out and get an overview of the game map.

Screens Screensaver

Download a screensaver that iterates through all the images in a directory and it's subdirectories and displays them in a grid. The install program will automatically set the current screensaver, all you need to do is specify a directory containing images that you would like to display.

The Crush Stats Manager

Download The Crush Stats Manager - Reverse engineered the Crush Deluxe data format to extract the statistics for players and teams each week. Various statistics can be graphed for both players and teams over the period that data is sampled from a game league. Each week the appropriate league.tms is used to generate a snapshot of the current league statistics and append them to the stored data.

The All Star Jam

Download The All Star Jam -More Crush Deluxe data file manipulation. Provides functionality to load a league file (league.tms), select particular players to generate a new dot tme file that can be used in exhibition or tournament games. I wrote this so we can play "all star" games with our best players.
