Romney Campaign - 1 Jan 1862

Confederate forces under Gen Jackson cleared Union forces under Gen Banks and Gen Rosecrans from the lower Shenandoah Valley and surrounding Allegheny ranges, and then successfully severed the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.
